Get Web Site Traffic. Business Blog Update.
Phew! Just spent about 5 hours submitting this Blog’s url to over 200 web directories to get more web site traffic.
“What I’ll go and do to get web site traffic?”
Directory links are also known as the “solid” foundation links to increase this website’s link popularity with the search engines. It’s also a way to increase your web presence, to grow your spiders web to catch web surfers (more blog traffic J ).
I would hate to think how long this would have taken if I did this manually. Fortunately a while back I paid for a life time subscription to a directory submission service.
It’s about ¾ automated so breaks the back to most of the slog. You still need (for each directory), to find the category to post your website in and fill in the security capture details. Once you have gone though the list of about 300 directories, it’s time to validate your email address in your “In Box”, with the e mails they send you (300 Lol!).
I know what you must be thinking.
“Is he MAD, surely there must be an easier way to get web site traffic?”.
If there is please let me know!
As far as I’m concerned it was worth my while to do this to get web site traffic. It lays the foundation to building solid back links. Once done, it’s done… The site I signed up to is SDT Advertising. I tried to see if that service is still available, but couldn’t get in. Here’s the link any how:
On this page look for “Web 2.0 Social Advertising” or just Google “directory submission service” for a similar one.
Next I will focus on:
- Use articles to generate traffic to your web site. Inline links are considered to be the best for search engines.
- Submit your website to high traffic popular social book marking sites, Digg, StumbleUpon etc. .One of the best way to get the search engine bots to visit your site. This way you also instantly get hundreds of targeted unique traffic/ visitors to your website.
