Internet Website Traffic- What’s Your Business Life Blood?

Your Internet Website Traffic- Business Blogs Traffic!!!

Talking about your business’s life blood here, the main ingredient to your online business success:

Traffic“!

Yes! you get two types of internet website traffic- traffic and then you get Traffic

Getting traffic to your website

The one is cold traffic coming from placed ads on Paid Per Click, Paid Per View, Ads swops, Banner Ads, Free Classifieds etc. These are people responding to the message that you happen to put out.

The second is: Warm traffic. This kind of traffic’s generated from your published articles, blog posts, comments that you post on your niches forums, other blogs, Twitter, Social Networks etc. These comments include a back link to your promotion.

How you get your website traffic, where and what website page you send it to can have a huge impact on your results and/ or conversions. I’m still learning all this the hard way… Which traffic have I found to be the best?

I’ll tell you after a little back ground of what happened to me this week. This is my story that you can maybe learn from, just as I have…

Now to lay a foundation to this tale, let me tell you a little analogy that Alex Jeffrey “my coach” shared with us on our coaching class just last night.

If a ship leaves harbour heading for a certain port and deviates by just 1 degree, will they get there? No! of course not. A tiny adjustment to that ships direction will mean a huge difference to your results, either in huge extra expenses or savings depending if that mistakes recognised in time or not.

For me, the whole of this last week was spent sending targeted visitors to this internet squeeze page of mine; http://www.Marketing4EasyCash.com. This site offers a Free Training Video by Alex Jeffrey, my mentor. If you look at it, I think you will agree with me that this is a quality site offering a quality freebie in exchange for an opt in. I guess you know where I’m going with this?

You will be right if you said “It Bombed Bad”- My results were terrible. After sending over 400 visitors to this site I only had 5 people sign up for this Free one hour Internet Marketing training video.

Sally Neill a fellow Alex Jeffreys student had a 35% conversion sending her traffic to a similar squeeze to mine. “A whopping 350% increase”.

- What was the difference?

- The quality of traffic and how it was sent, that’s what!

     Lesson Learnt. – Maybe I’m a slow learner :)

Where you get your online website traffic and how you handle it?

Lets look at what I did. My traffic came from my Twitter accounts http://twitter.com/homebasedbuzz and http://twitter.com/rodneysaunders, Face book adds and banner ads. My advertising consisted of a short message ending in a clear call to action. This took them straight to the above squeeze.

Here’s what Sally did: She sent out an email to her list that she regularly communicates with. This list knows and trusts her (she’s previously given out quality content to this list). Her other traffic came from her quality blog. On her blog she posted a full report on some of the training covered. Those who wanted to find out more, went willingly to down load the Free video. Alls happy.

Warmed traffic always out performs cold traffic. That’s why establishing your own blog is so vital to your business success. Another way I could have approached this;

I could have split my internet website traffic. One half straight to my squeeze, the other to this blog post with a call to action at the end. My visitor would have by then gained a well informed impression to the value offered.

Sometimes a slight change to the way you get your internet website traffic… with a small test to the way things are done makes for huge gains :)

To Your Success.
