No Comments“I had a farm in Africa“, no not that Out Of Africa…
I can remember so clearly that first Autumn night in May. We had arrived there a day ahead of our furniture to an empty shell of a house. The floor, walls and windows were bare connecting it to the tall trees standing guard outside. The house perched on top of a lone hill totally surrounded by high mountains, gave the impression of a lone light house surrounded by a sea of blue green mountains.
Upon walking into the dining room with it’s cold black slate stone floors my eyes were drawn to the wide front windows over looking the farm below. The excitement, knowing that this was home to our future all laid out before me. There in front of me lay the yellow grass covered fields that I’d come to cultivate for our lively hood.
The crisp but not too cold twilight air surrounded me with the smell of a once lived in home filled my senses. The lingering hint of Cobra wax floor polish that was now fading from the stone floor. The home, vacant for over two years still remained in fair repair. That moment walking into that space knowing the potential of ourselves, that time and this place filled us with hope, excitement and anticipation. Sure there were challenges ahead, that only added to the excitement. We had the chance to turn this into the home for our two young daughters with a new life on the farm.
Later that night lying on our backs from the blanket covered floor, my wife and I looked up and out at the expanse of a moon lit midnight blue sky. The night jars were calling to each other outside and we felt alive soaking up the atmosphere surrounding us. That memory will stay with me for the rest of my life. A defining moment after eight years of hard work and saving to finally for fill our desired dream. To reach here was a life time goal 31 years in the making. Now I can imagine the feeling of joy of an Olympic Gold winning champion standing on the podium blazing in the glory of achievement.
Times change: There is one thing I’ve discovered in life. I’m now certain that nothing is certain apart from one thing. Times will change and you need to be able to adapt and change with the times…
Had a very blessed and privileged childhood growing up in rural Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. My father was a real entrepreneur in the true sense of the word with a tendency to be bored very quickly. He liked to try out or learn something new. This resulted in us moving around a lot. Maybe I have inherited a bit of that from him. More about that later…
After school and doing my National Service in the Army, I decided farming was to be my future, so off I went to Gwebi Agricultural College. There in 1981 I married my wonderful wife while still studying. On completion we immigrated to Barberton South Africa. We farmed there for 20 years until the economic climate called for a change. We sold the farm and then settled in England. That was in May 2002.
The day after landing in the UK I started work as a security guard doing nights… About 7 years ago Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” was given to me. This is a personal development teaching book on “How to Succeed In Life?” This got me thinking to pursue for something better. You see working at night for 60 to 90 hours a week is no joke.
This was my wilderness period before realising that Internet Marketing was the answer. Working anywhere in the world with my laptop had a certain appeal. The problem was I knew nothing about the Internet and even less about marketing. If you have come to the end of a line and need change, contact me.

Started Internet Marketing from scratch at the end of 2008. Up until now it’s been a long slow climb learning from my many mistakes.
That trait that I seemed to inherit from my father seemed to kick in at this stage to become my biggest problem: I‘ve been jumping from one opportunity to the next. Always distracted by the next best thing coming through my mail box.
Fortunately for me I stumbled on Alex Jeffrey’s coaching. He has encouraged discipline, goal setting and focus on marketing. His core belief is “If you not marketing, you’re not making money”. Period!
This course I’m on is about a 10 week training. My goal is to quit my 60 to 90 hour week job, to go full time Internet marketing from home within the next 3 months. End of August this year, so watch this space.
As a newbie to the Internet and marketing I have had much to learn through trail and error. This blog is aimed to help you short cut your learning with what works.
Alex Jefferys is a very savvy and successful Internet Marketer that I am learning from. As I learn so will I keep you updated with the latest strategies, proven to make you money online. He’s the proof.
